VSSC has become an integral part of Victoria BC and we are grateful for the positive response we have gotten from the entire city, including our members, our facility providers (school districts and community centres), our suppliers, and our sponsors . On November 17th, 2012, Mo Bros and Mo Sistas came out to socialize, show their Mo, and raise funds for the Movember initiative. This year we raised $500.00 for Movember, but also started a Nation-wide Sport and Social Club Network via Movember which raised over $5000.00 for Movember Canada!
The event was held at Temple Late Night Lounge, included free food and drink, as well as music mixed by DJ Redeye. The funds raised go toward helping those living with a prostate cancer diagnosis and for research.

Where: UVic's McKinnon Gym
Details: For two years the VSSC, in coordination with the EPHE students of UVic, have helped to raise funds for various non-profit organizations in order to create a better Victoria. In 2011, $1000 was raised during the event for the Canadian Cancer Society. In 2012, 200 lbs of non-perishable food items and $1000 went to the Mustard Seed Food Bank. Winning in 2011 was the Harvard Hicks (seen above with the prize keg), in 2012 Marvin and the Marmots took the title of champions and went home with the Meldrum Cup and keg!

Details: In coordinaton with the University of Victoria Students`Society (UVSS), the VSSC played host to the World Record Capture the Flag came at the University of Victoria. The event was quite the display with close to 800 Victorians across two teams competing for CTF supremecy.
The game not only helped build a greater sense of community, but also helped UVic celebrate their 50th anniversary!
