Kickball (Soccer Baseball) *ON PAUSE*

Can’t decide between soccer, softball, and dodgeball?  Then why not play kickball and get the best of all three worlds?


Known to many as “Soccer Baseball”, this fun baseball variation is just like you played on the playground as a kid and is a brand new league this season! 


VSSC players can enjoy the summer sun while kickin’ the ball out of the park by signing up for an early Summer league (Session I), a late Summer league (Session II) or both!

Registration deadlines are as follows:

Session I: Thursday, April 23 @ midnight!

Session II: Thursday, July 2 @ midnight!

LATE FEES will apply to all registrations received after the deadline.

Sprummer 2020 Details:

Start / End Dates

Session I: Starts Wednesday, May 6 and ends Wednesday, June 24.


Session II: Starts Wednesday, July 8 and ends Wednesday, August 26.

# of Weeks

Each Session runs for 8 weeks (6 weeks of regular season + 2 weeks of playoffs).

Estimated Game Times

Rotating start times between 6pm and 7pm.


Game length is 55 minutes.


Note: Every effort is made to equalize the start time and game locations across the league.

Price Team registration: $350 + GST (per session).

After checkout, send your teammates roster invites through the website (under "My Team" player list) so they can accept the waiver and access the schedule and standings once they are posted.   

Individual registration: $45 + GST (per session). 

You will be placed on a roster of individuals by end of day Tuesday, April 21 (Session I), end of day Monday, July 6 (Session II). For ease of communication with our office, teams must select a captain and co-captain on our website to represent your individuals team.  Click here to learn more about Individual teams.

SAVE THE DATE: Sprummer 2020 Meet & Greet!

Did you sign-up as an individual?  Then this event is for you!


Meet your teammates, decide on a team name, captain, jersey colour, organize equipment requirements and pick-up your newsletter & player key tag. An overview of the club, rules and what you need to know about the season will be reviewed.   


When: Thursday, April 30.


Location:  Shark Club Sports Bar (2852 Douglas St).

  • Starting at 6:00pm - 8:00pm – For those playing Turf & Field Soccer, Basketball, Court Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
  • Starting at  8:30pm - 10:30pm – For those playing Softball, Kickball, Dodgeball, Floor Hockey, All-Sorts-of-Sports and Lawn Bowling.

Team Equipment Pick-Up

Session I - Team Equipment Pick-up Dates: 


Have you rented equipment through VSSC or would like to? Team captains can drop by at the dates and times below to pick up your team newsletter, player key tag and equipment. Be sure to place your equipment deposit through the shopping cart or call us at the office in advance.


Session II:

  • Player packages and key tags will be hand delivered to your first game.

Session I - Individual team rosters will be posted online by midnight Tuesday, April 21.

What you need to know about Kickball:

Teams are required to use bases and kickballs provided by the VSSC.  These items are available to rent at the VSSC Equipment Pickup Locations scheduled at the beginning of the season. A refundable deposit is required and payable with credit card, cheque or online registration at the time of league registration and in your shopping cart (see dates for team package & equipment pick-up).

    Please refer to the sport rules page to view league rules.  It is the responsibility of all players to read and understand the sport specific rules as well as the general rules & club policies.

    Score & Spirit Point Reporting

    • Game Scores (account for 75% of total points): Team captains are responsible for reporting the scores after your game by logging into your player profile and clicking on ‘My Team’ tab and selecting ‘Report Score/Spirit Points’.  Teams have a 48 hour window to report scores after the completion of the game.  Please be timely with your score reporting so league standings can remain updated for playoff positioning.
    • Spirit Points (account for 25% of total points): Spirit points are awarded to a team from their opponent after each game to encourage sportsmanship, honesty, integrity and fair play.  For more information and how to properly award spirit points, please see our section ‘All About Spirit Points’.
